Vinnaithandi Varuvaya adapted from 500 Days of Summer?

It is very nice to see that new generation directors like, Gautam Menon, also watching plenty of English movies. I felt traces of core theme from the English comedy movie, “500 DAYS OF SUMMER”, in Tamil movie, “ Vinnaithandi Varuvaya”. Is this an accidental coincidence or an awkward implementation of stealing core theme from Hollywood movies, then flavoring it with songs, fight, comedy scenes and transforming it to an Indian movie?
Watch both movies and let us know by commenting here under the post.

Tamil Film Roja adapted from Sunflower?

Is it correct that, another movie from veteran Indian director, Mani Ratnam, “ROJA” is an adaptation of an old Hollywood movie, “SUNFLOWER”?. Our cinema lab, cinemala.com, found traces of “SUNFLOWER” in “ROJA”. Even the name, “ROJA” in Tamil meaning, “ROSE”. And the original movie, “SUNFLOWER” holding a title of another flower. Is this accidental or, Mr Mani Ratnam spending more time in watching old Hollywood  and other language super hits? I believe that in this case also, the very same formula of copying core theme from  Hollywood movies and then adding some Tamil culture flavors by casting a beautiful young heroine, with 4 or 5 songs, finally garnishing with hi-tech sequences.
All readers, watch both movies and comment here..

Ghajini copied from Memento ?

In the process of making a film, from an initial story idea, there are many steps through scriptwriting, shooting, editing, directing and finally, distribution to an audience. How about stealing the story idea from another language film, and then spicing it up and presenting as a genuine one. Is this cheating or can we call it as an adaptation. Over a period of years, I have understood that most of the famous Indian movie makers are just copycats of Hollywood films. Some film makers are copying from other language films of India. Copying is happening in all fields, say for example, story,  direction, cinematography, editing, background score, music of songs, etc. In this post and in future, I would like to reveal some of those copycats in all Indian film industry.
Readers may also participate in this venture by commenting and if you have a post to announce such an act of  copying, then please let us know.
