Muthu is a  Tamil film directed by K. S. Ravikumar, a remake of Malayalam film Thenmavin Kombathu with some changes for Tamil audiences and released in 1995. The film stars Rajinikanth, Meena, Raghuvaran etc. The soundtrack with six songs composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by Vairamuthu. the film was a superhit and all the songs got high popularity. AR Rahman gained popularity in Japan when the movie was dubbed and released in Japanese.

The song, "Thilana Thilana" is a beautiful song sung by Mano, and Sujatha. But the opening humming of this song, is a slice of  Deep Forests 'Night Bird'. Both sounds very similar and herewith giving that sound track for your reference. Please comment if you feel the same.

IS MALAYALAM MOVIE MANICHITHRATHAZHU ADAPTED FROM PSYCHO

Psycho is an English Classic American psychoanalytical thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The film is based on the screenplay by Joseph Stefano, who adapted it from the 1959 novel of the same name by Robert Bloch. As the Title of the film indicates, the film depicts the story of a psycho with dual personality. Anthony Perkins played the role with an outstanding performance to exhibit the multiple personality disorder.

In Manichithrathazhu, a Malayalam movie directed by veteran director Fazil, similar topic of “Dual Personality Disorder” is handled in a Mallu culture way. The climax is definitely a plus point for Manichithrathazhu, but the core theme, I doubt, a copy of Psycho? The traditional concepts of “Ghost”, “Spirits”  and Lady Ghosts were effectively merged with the core theme of dual personality disorder. Box office flavors like, comedy, sentiments, are also added in quanta sufficient.
Manichithrathazhu has been remade into many languages in India, such as “ BHOOLBHULAIYYA” in Hindi, “CHANDRAMUKHI’ in Tamil, “CHANDRAMUKHI’ in Telugu, “APTHAMITHRA” in Kannada.
Just view the two movies and let me know, whether my analysis is true or not.

TAMIL MOVIE AUTOGRAPH INSPIRED FROM HINDI MOVIE MERA NAAM JOKER

Hindi movie, “Mera Naam Joker” is old classic hit, directed, acted by veteran, Shri Raj Kapoor. This film portrayed the life of a boy, through three different stages of his life. The undertone of his life is the thirst for love. Love, Despair and Life were beautifully explained in this film, with a sad ending. The film traces Raju's journey from his childhood to the day of his last performance through 3 chapters.

Autograph is a Tamil movie by directed and acted by Cheran. I have seen many similarities between “Autograph” and “Mera Naam Joker”. Both movies, splits the story of love and despair into three parts. Each part depicting how love sprouting and reaching despair, believe me…only locations, characters are changing, basic mood of both cinema are the same. Cheran brought considerable change in the climax of his movie with a good ending.

SONG FROM MALAYALAM MOVIE CHANDRALEKHA COPIED FROM AMR DIAB’s HABIBI

Have you ever heard the song of Amr Diab,  “Habibi…”. An excellent song with great lyrics and beautiful mixture of Arabic with Western flair. The video scenes are also impressive, with special camera angles and rich frames. I was quite shocked when I hear very similar music in an Indian Film, “Malayalam Film”, Chandralekha, directed by PriyaDarshan. The music score of this film by, Berny Ignesius. The song that starts by, “Manethe Chanthiranothoru....” is almost similar to Amr Diab,  “Habibi…”. Below giving both songs for your assessment. One more funny fact, the music director of “Chandralekha” got Kerala State Award for Best Music composer for his amazing (?) work in another film , Thenmavin Kombathu.
